Eliyahu Ben Shalom emigr\u00f3 desde Siria y se estableci\u00f3 en Tiber\u00edades junto a su amada Yael. En 1966 fue elegido secretario del Consejo de los Trabajadores. Durante su mandato se construyeron en Tiber\u00edades el centro de recuperaci\u00f3n \"Kinneret\", la escuela secundaria \"Amal\" en el barrio B, talleres y f\u00e1bricas en la ciudad, viviendas para veteranos, viviendas de trabajadores y alojamientos para nuevos inmigrantes en Ramat Kinneret. Uno de los proyectos m\u00e1s cercanos a su coraz\u00f3n fue la construcci\u00f3n de la sinagoga \"Gur Aryeh\" cerca de su residencia.\n\nDurante 40 a\u00f1os, Eliyahu actu\u00f3 con gran dedicaci\u00f3n en el \"Comit\u00e9 por el Soldado\", donde gestion\u00f3 la Casa del Soldado, que serv\u00eda de hospedaje para soldados y diversos visitantes, y fue el impulsor de la construcci\u00f3n de una nueva y amplia Casa del Soldado en Tiber\u00edades, que sigue funcionando hasta hoy. Eli Ben Shalom (nombrado en honor a su abuelo), tercera generaci\u00f3n en la construcci\u00f3n, se une a la empresa Ben Shalom y decide ampliar sus \u00e1reas de actividad hacia el centro del pa\u00eds. Participa en la construcci\u00f3n de una nueva base militar (Campamento Nachshonim), un proyecto por el cual recibe elogios por su labor profesional por parte del cuerpo de supervisi\u00f3n del Cuerpo de Ingenieros del Ej\u00e9rcito de EE. En 2010, Itamar Ben Shalom (hermano menor de Eli) se incorpora a la empresa con el objetivo de establecer y dirigir el brazo de desarrollo.
