The greatest challenge in designing an urban penthouse is not its height — but the feeling it evokes within. At 22 Knesset HaGedola Street, in the heart of Bavli, a rare encounter emerges between meticulous planning, natural light, and a living, genuine connection with the full beauty of Yarkon Park. In the northern-facing corner, overlooking the park, an apartment was designed to live in harmony with its surroundings — and to enhance them. The central space opens to soft northern light, accompanying the day with a quietness that needs no blinds. The transition between indoors and outdoors happens almost effortlessly: wide doors lead to a continuous terrace that feels like a natural extension of the home. From the terrace, a private rooftop unfolds — an entire level featuring a pool, jacuzzi, outdoor kitchen, entertaining areas, and an open view of the Yarkon.

I chose materials that engage the senses as much as they appeal to the eye: natural wood that brings warmth, dark metal that conveys strength, soft lighting that gently embraces the space, and living greenery that harmonizes with the landscape. In my view, this is how the penthouse becomes a complete experience—a precise translation of how I believe relaxed living should feel in the heart of Tel Aviv, facing Yarkon Park.
